Just curious what someone else thought of this stuff. Tried it, and had to go back to store to get the UN-scented kind just to rewash my clothes to get that bucket's worth of fragrance out! I can't get away from it, the smell of it on my bra is even making me ill! Any shirt or item of clothing that was washed in it is infecting everything it touches with that perfumey crap. I just wrote to the company and asked for my money back. I'm not one of those fragrance sensitive types, but this stuff is over the top. I'd say they should dial the smell back by at least 70%, not 30. Going to give the rest of the bottle to my coworker to wash his dog's bed. Mentioned the joke about the drunk and the Avon lady in an elevator for an example in my email to the company, we'll see if they know that one. Thanks for letting me vent.

I always send paper holiday cards because...

I lived in Korea for three years, teaching ESL. Even when I couldn't afford a plane ticket home for the holidays, holiday cards were a way for me to keep in contact with my friends and family, and when were sent to me, were a nice reminder that I hadn't been forgotten, even though I lived halfway across the world. Now that I live in America again (albeit, pretty much across the country from everyone I love), these cards will still serve as a reminder that my friends and family are important to me.

I heard about this new Nike+ app. What are your thoughts about it? I kinda had the feeling that a lot of people were going to get into the rut of not being motivated because the "prize" wasn't interesting for them. What was the first challenge that you completed? Thanks for the input. -Andrew

Thanks K! :) THIS is why Fitbloggin should be every day... I want to hug you in person!! You are right-- kids don't know what awesomeness about themselves feels like until they go through the angst. As long as we (parents, educators, family members, etc) continue to model SELF RESPECT, SELF LOVE and SELF WORTH to ALL kids, they will know how to treat themselves when they get through all the angst... wait, does that make sense at all? I am so tired tonight.

Awww...first, hugs.

Second? I don't think it's possible to teach kids how to love themselves...they're not wired for it yet. AND it's okay! We have to slog through the crap to get to the "i love myself" part and then it feels SO good. And who are we to take that away from them? They can only feel that awesomeness after having felt that not-so-awesome angst...does this make any sense at all?
