Day 3 of the Vacay…

Hit my points today! :-) Just took a salty trip to Chipotle. I had a free coupon and it was goooooood… though I SO missed the cheese and sour cream.

And now – OT: I went to Target to return some shoes today and found myself in the scrapbooking section. I have been a “causal” scrapbooker for about 8 years, but started making gift tags and greeting cards about 4 years ago. I got really crazy at work about 3 years ago and now I have TONS of expensive scrapbooking materials sitting around my house, really not organized. :-) I hope this vacation I can get it all in a managable space. Anyway, I saw something at Target I have been craving for a while- a Xyron sticker machine. It was on sale (as it was the last one) soooo… I bought it and I love it already!! :-) I used my new printer and printed up some cute index prints from a friend’s b-day party, and now I am going to use them on a scrapbook page about my trip. :-)

Though I don’t have kids. I saw the coolest layout the other day and I think I am going to try it with my Mr. More. A mom took photos of her child for 365 days and did an index print of each photo. she used 2 pages and made a “year in the life of” as a xcrapbook page. I am not sure if she used all 365 (not sure if they would fit) but she used the best of the photos to show how she was growing over the year. It was really cool! I think I am going to do that with Mr. but since he is no longer a kitten and growing (other than his tummy growing) LOL, I think I am going to do “the many faces of Mr. More”. When I am done I will make sure to post is so you can see it!! :-) TTFN!

Spiders!!

Anyone have any good non-chemical spider remedy? I have found 6 BIG OL’ SPIDERS (EW EW EW) in various places in my house the past few days. Any good home remedies? I really hate spiders and they are big’ins too – the bodies are about the size of popcorn seeds and they are icky. ICK ICK ICK. Oh, I hate spiders. Ayway, anything you can think of to keep them out of my house will help.

BTW, my “warrior” cat is no help. He either runs the other way from them, or looks at me like “kill it mom, the ‘pider is bothering me”. Darn cat, what else are they for than to kill spiders and mice? :-) You would think my hefty cat would want a snack….

Sooooo, my TOM needs to come soon out I am going to wear out the salt shaker (see: KFC Snackers below- SO SALTY…).

I have this weird pain in my right leg, it is not exactly shin splints, it actually only hurts when I touch it. I did about 5 minutes of “flutter kicks” in the pool the other day, and it has hurt since then. Do you think I just used muscles I haven’t used in a while? My hypochodriac self thinks I have DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) and that I am going to throw a clot and it will end up in my lungs (Thank you, Web MD for making me so paranoid about leg pain). ETA: It is the flutter kicks. :-)

Still no word on Mr. More. I hoped to hear from the vet today, but no call. I am sure the holiday week is slowing everything down.

Earth to Salty foods (binge is still on my brain)

I made time to go for a 25 minute walk after lunch today to clear my head. I think it helped. I have just been so tired and crabby lately. Grouch central. On the topic of Mr. More, I called the vet this morning but he has not yet gotten the test results. He did say Mister’s blood sugar has been high the past few weeks (he got that test back as they do that one in the office) and that I need to test more often.  I realized what the binge is from- TOM is fast approaching. I take BC bills for massive horrible TOM migraines, and I am in the “green ones” starting today. No wonder I was having a “I could eat anything” week last week. With the stress ontop of it – forget it.

Thanks for all the sweet comments…

…regarding my post from yesterday about Mr. More going in for tests. Like I said in my other post today, I won’t know the test results until tomorrow, but I will post when I do know something. All of you that have furry children understand what I am going through and I really appreciate the thoughs and well-wishes.

Mister is 13 and has lived a long and very pampered life, but I am not ready to let him go yet. I hope there is good news tomorrow.
