To catch some of you up, yesterday I mentioned that a good friend went to Michigan and brought me home 1/2 bushel of peaches and a pound of fresh blueberries. Yes, I asked for them. Well, if you are not sure what a 1/2 bushel looks like…
Aaaaanyway, I made a peach cobbler and a peach and blueberry Gallette tonight — what the hell is a gallette, you ask? Well, uncooked, it looks like this… It is a cross between a calzone and a pie. You use a pie crust and fold it around the peach and blueberry mixture — it cooks up really pretty (egg on the top makes it shine and brown) and it is actually low in sugar and fat — no added butter or oil. I was an idiot and left the electronic versions of the recipes at work, so I will post them tomorrow.
