My friends are sooo sneaky!!

Last night, we celebrated my 30^th birthday by going to Live Band Karaoke and enjoying a great night out. I sang Pat Benatar and had a great time. There were 6 of us, and we closed the place down. I can’t remember the last time I was out until 3AM. I drank a little too much, but honestly, I really ate pretty healthy (except for the hot fudge sundae “birthday cake” – at least I shared it though!

Anyway, the reason my friends are sneaky is that they threw me a surprise 30^th birthday brunch today. I knew I was going to brunch, but had NO idea that 30 people would be there to surprise me! 2 of my best friends from out of town came (one which I have not seen in lake 5 years and she brought her 1 year old with her) and it was so great to see everyone else. My best friends Grace and Tennille set up the whole thing. They had been working on it for months. Tennille’s present to me was a beautifully framed 8 x 10 sheet with “30 Things We Love About AJ” on it- and she had quotes from all my family and friends about how much they love me and why. I seriously broke down and started bawling right there at the table. I couldn’t even read it I was crying so hard. It really reminded me how much I am loved!!

They told me another secret- they had been trying for months to get me on “What Not To Wear”. 20 of my family and friends have been writing to the producer telling them that I need a makeover- bad. J Since “Plan A” did not work, they decided instead to throw me a surprise party.
