3:01PM – Let me tell you about my morning. I had all intentions of eating something that looked like a breakfast (I even had the Slim Fast with me). I had been telling myself all night last night that I had a meeting in the morning about 4 blocks from my house before work at 9AM. I was going to walk there and back, then get on the bus to work about 9:30.
Well, I left my apt about 8:30 thinking it might take a little bit to walk there. I promptly got stuck in the new elevator on the 15th floor with some other lady from my building. We were stuck there for 15 minutes. I didn’t panic, per se, but I did forget everything that was in my head – including my meeting. I got out OK, no problems, and went directly to my bus stop, got on a bus, and headed south. About 10 minutes into the ride, I realized that I had to be about 30 blocks in the opposite direction in about 10 minutes. DUH! I got off the bus, found another bus going the other direction and made it right no time to my meeting.
Well, when I got there (a coffee shop) the line was really long, so I did not get anything to drink or eat. we met, and then I headed into the office. by the time I got to the office and remembered the slim fast, it was warm, so I didn’t drink it. About noon today, I realized I was HUNGRY and got a Southwestern Salad from next door.
In other news, work has been a bit hectic the past month or so, and I am getting a well needed vacay. I will have tomorrow off, then head to Texas to surprise my best friend for his 30th birthday, then back home Sunday and I have Monday off of work too. I need some time to catch up on sleep and laundry. :-) I have to stop at Trader Joe’s tonight (need more bean and rice burritos and black bean dip) and I think I am going to stop for a quick Mc Donald’s dinner – I certainly have enough points left today!! :-)
